Campaigners against the Salisbury Bypass

visit Newbury

On Sunday 1st December, campaigners and residents opposing the A36 Salisbury Bypass will visit Newbury. Residents and campaigners against the Newbury Bypass will show them the destruction caused by the building of the Newbury Bypass. Speaker George Monbiot of the The Land is Ours will address a meeting of the campaigners.

A spokesperson for the Third Battle of Newbury said

"The parallels between Newbury and Salisbury are striking. An unnecessary road scheme destroying pristine wildlife habitats, while there is inadequate transport for local people" ENDS
